Merry Christmas to all and here are pictures of a Christmas present I received yesterday.
For the last month I have been thinking about, where do I go from here? And, I mean after Mexico. In six months to a year I will have to make a decision as to where God is calling me. Many thoughts have filled my mind -- USA, England, Germany. I have even thought about the military, yes, the military, which seems to scare many as much as does being a missionary. Also, there is the fact that I want to get married some day which would definitely be a plus in the mission field. Somehow for both of them you are poised to die. One other thing that bothers me is the state of my grandmother. She is no spring chicken and is starting to have a taste of alzheimer's. My biggest fear is that someone will try to take advantage of her, if they have not already.
Those rank amoung the highest of the 100 things that run through my mind each day. Anyways, Merry Christmas to all.
Well, it has been hard to come up with something to post about lately so I thought I would share the top ten things I am thankful for this holiday season and my top ten hopes and aspirations for the coming year (not necessarily in any particular order).
10 Thanks
10 Hopes and aspirations
The following was in the Love Worth Finding e-mail devotional for today:
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Exodus 20:8
DEVOTIONAL TREASURE:
Is it okay to watch television on Sunday? Is it okay to go to a ball game on Sunday? Is it okay to eat out on Sunday? Is it okay to read the newspaper on Sunday? Can I play softball on Sunday? Can I go out on a boat on Sunday? Can I go to the grocery store if we’re out of milk on Sunday? Good questions. I hear them all the time, but do you know what’s wrong with these questions? You’re asking the wrong man. It’s not my day — it’s the Lord’s day. Ask Him.
Anyway, thought that it was good.
