Revival

Bro. Frank Page, president of the Southern Baptist Convention, has on several occasions called for revival within the Christian community.  Revival seeks for a reawakening of religious faith.  Do we need revival in the United States?  Yes and it is still possible.  A church in a next county had a revival that last for somewhere around three weeks and countless people came to know Christ as Saviour.  Will you pray for revival?  Somehow I doubt that in this small church revival came by accident.  Someone and probably more than one cared enough to spend some time in prayer and ask God to pour out his reviving grace.

Please pray for us this Saturday as we have a our own revival meeting.  Those who have been to Mexico with For Thee One Ministries over the past three years will be coming together for a reunion and challenge.  We can easily share Christ in a foreign country but when it comes to home, it seems to be a little more difficult.  My question are: Now that you have been and experienced Christ move in a foreign field, how has it changed your life up to this point?  What are you doing now in your home city, county, and state?  What promises did you make yourself of changing or doing and where do they stand now?  Can people tell a difference in your life?

Prayer request for a fellow missionary

Please be in prayer for Missionary Y, who requests our prayers as he/she has been very sick for the last three days (constant vomiting, diarrhoea, high fevers).  Y now has medicine but is having a hard time with it also.

Prayer requests

It is now 26 days until the June team comes to Torreon.  Please pray for them and their preparations as there are some outstanding issues not yet resolved.  Please pray for the church we will be working with, and us.

Also, please pray about my computer situation.  My laptop is having issues  that seem to be getting worse.  The death of it could be detrimental to my work here.

Prayer Requests

I want to thank all who pray along with me and extend some urgent prayer requests.  First, one of my fellow workers in Mexico, an IMB missionary, will be going to the States for cancer treatments.  Please pray for him, his wife, and family.  Also, please pray for a pastor in Germany who was hospitalised Sunday night in ICU for some severe seizures.  He also has blood clots and is unable to take blood thinning medications among these he has some other health issues.  Please pray that God would bring healing to him and his family.

sad news for my home state in Mexico

It is apparent that the lack of Jesus has become evident across the world. In Coahuila, Mexico, the state in which I live, they have approved special rights for homosexual couples.  Please pray for the government in Mexico and particularly the Christians in this state.

This Sunday is the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church.  Please join the thousands of churches and small prayer groups that have come together to pray for all of the persecuted throughout the world. More information is available at OpenDoorsuUSA.org

MI Esperanza

Please remember us tonight as we are making plans to have some over to watch the MI Esperanza programme tonight.  Pray that God will give us wisdom in the things to say and do and open the hearts of all of those who will be watching tonight (and tomorrow also) through Mexico.

  • P.S. Sorry for some who have posted comments and they are not showing up. I do not know what the problem is but I have received them.

This should make you sick.

In an e-mail I received this morning, Wal-Mart is donating 5% of their online sales to the Washington DC Community Center for Gay, Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender People.  Now all have a choice. We can sit around or we can let as many people  know about this as we know, including all association churches.
The American Family Association is looking for 1,000,000 to sign their petition and you can do so at https://secure.afa.net/afa/activism/signpetition.asp?id=1630.
Also, the American Family Association is asking that we DO NOT shop at Wal-mart or Sam's club on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. (This also part of the petition).  In reality, I know that these are BIG shopping days for some.  These are shopping days for showering others with gifts, but why not give the gift that keeps giving by showing your support for our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no doubt that some of you have already gotten this far and decided to do nothing. I ask you now to stop and pray about what God would have you to do.  This may require you to step outside of your normal, everyday comfort zone.  I pray to hear when I return to the United States in the end of this month that Alcorn and Tishomingo counties, at the least, have joined together to fight this perversion that is happening in our nation.
