So, throughout the years, I have been called many different things some of which are very random like "Jersey" by my niece.  So now my nephew has added another random name for me, paw paw.

Taco night

Tonight was taco night but not for those of weak minds or stomachs.  We enjoyed a mix of tacos de tripita (intestines), higado (liver), buche (stomach), and bistec (steak).  So now you can throw up and have a Spanish lesson all in one. Tongue out

Watching what you are doing.....

So, I went to the store the other day and they had Diet Dr. Pepper, which does not happen.  I was excited and bought all seven cans that they had.  It was not until I got home that I realised that I paid $15.99 pesos each, which for U.S. folks equates to about $1.48/ can.......ya.

tAcos

So, we love our tacos.  A couple of friends and I went for tacos tonight after church.  We stopped at one of our stands and decided after we had eaten that we were still a little hungry and should have ordered more.  So, I suggested that we leave and go get some alambre at a different taco house.  So,  we left and arrived moments later at the taco house and began ordering our food.  We noticed as we were ordering that a guy who was asking for money at the other taco place had arrived at the same restaurant.  If that was not bad enough, us being caught stuffing our faces again at another place, another guy walks up who had been asking for money too.

gO BEARS

Superbowl get together Sunday! Bears v. Colts.  I have been a long time fan of the Chicago Bear (Cubs and Bulls).  For your useless tidbit of info, the last Super Bowl for the Bears was in 1985, when I was too young to know anything existed besides toys probably.  The Bears played the New England Patriots and kicked them 46 to 10.  So you still have time to jump on that plane and get to Mexico.

My Top Tens

Well, it has been hard to come up with something to post about lately so I thought I would share the top ten things I am thankful for this holiday season and my top ten hopes and aspirations for the coming year (not necessarily in any particular order).

10 Thanks

  1. My personal relationship with Jesus
  2. That God has more forgiveness than I or anyone else ever can imagine or have in this earthly body.
  3. My family.
  4. My church families in the United States and Mexico (not just my home church)
  5. Those who support me in Mexico
  6. Those who support missions through Lottie Moon and other various forms (like For Thee One Ministries).
  7. The blessings that unfold each day if I only open my eyes
  8. Health
  9. Missionaries across the world
  10. Our men in women in uniform

10 Hopes and aspirations

  1. To start work with some of the college campuses next year.
  2. To find a most excellent home for the cheapest price
  3. To see 100 new disciples for Jesus Christ (in Mexico)
  4. To get physically fit
  5. To have more prayer time and devotional time
  6. To increase my knowledge of the Old Testament
  7. To double my prayer partners
  8. To continue my college studies
